Your air filter stops dirt and debris from entering your car\u2019s engine and causing irreparable damage.&nbsp; Cool, eh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Your air filter needs to be changed regularly \u2013&nbsp; or when gets clogged up.&nbsp; Not doing so can cause an unnecessary increase in fuel consumption and a loss of power if not replaced, as it confines the amount of air entering the engine rather than filtering it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully, it\u2019s pretty easy to replace your air filter.&nbsp; That said, if you\u2019re not confident \u2013 don\u2019t try this at home!&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myautoshop.co.nz\/services-index\">My Auto Shop has got you covered<\/a>, with the labour the parts, to keep things hassle-free on your end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, if you\u2019re up to it (!) here\u2019s the steps you\u2019ll need to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to replace your car\u2019s air filter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The first step is to determine where the air box is located.<\/li><li>The air box is positioned to one side of the engine when the vehicle&#8217;s bonnet is opened. Clamps or screws can be used to hold it together.<\/li><li>To gain access to the filter, undo the bolts and take the top of the box away.<\/li><li>Examine the filter after removing it from the package.
