If your vehicle has clear fluid leaking My Auto Shop can get it sorted with a Air Conditioning Inspection. Simply leave as many details about the issue as you can and we will contact local MTA approved mechanics in Gisborne that are qualified to fix the underlying issue. We'll email you quotes for an inspection within 2 working days, and where possible provide an indication as to the likely underlying issue(s) and cost to fix. You can book directly on the My Auto Shop platform in minutes.
A qualified mechanic or auto electrician will go check over your entire air conditioning system to understand whats causing the issue, including the electrical side of the system. They will then check the AC gas level and ensure there are no leaks from any of the hoses or compressor.
If required the mechanic will provide a quote for necessary repairs or replacement parts.
AC Compressor Replacement
The AC compressor in your vehicle is one of the cabin cooling systems major components and has the job of pressurising the refrigerant in the air conditioning system, as well as circulating the refrigerant which is necessary for the rest of the system to focus on keeping it cool. The refrigerant in the system can be harmful if released into the environment, and should always therefore be managed by a trained professional.
Heater Hose Replacement
Your heater hoses are your best friend on a cold morning. These circulate hot coolant from the engine and use it to warm you up. As these hoses are constantly having water flow through them and at great temperatures, they do eventually wear down and need replacing.
AC Pressure Switch Replacement
Your air conditioning is a very complicated system, there are plenty of relays, hoses, and other electrical components to keep you cool in summer. The pressure switches are a part of these key components.
Fan Speed Resistor Replacement
The ability to turn up or down the fan speed for your car’s air con is the key function of the fan speed resistor. It simply restricts the amount of power the blower fan receives, which in turn limits the speed the fan works at. Typically fan speed resistors fail as a result of overheating, which can cause a short in the system melting the resistor or any of its connections.
