We all know that urgent car repairs generally jump out at the time you least want them, and the bank account might not have enough cash to keep your car running. Fortunately, My Auto Shop, NZ’s largest car maintenance booking platform, has teamed up with Afterpay to make the unexpected more manageable.
How does Afterpay work?
Afterpay is a ‘Buy now, pay later’ app, that let’s you create a fortnightly payment plan for purchases. All you need to do is download the app, sign up and provided you have a clear credit rating, you’ll be good to make purchases up to $2000. These will be split over 4x fortnightly payments, with the first due at the time of purchase.
Can I pay for my car repairs on Afterpay?
Yes! Simply head to our homepage, choose what work you need completed on your car, find the best workshop for you and then select the Afterpay option on checkout. If any other work arises that you didn’t account for, your mechanic will be able to add it to your Afterpay bill and you can approve it in an easy email.
Am I eligible for Afterpay?
- Any Afterpay customer must be an NZ resident, over 18 years old and have a debit or credit card.
- If you fail to make a payment, you will be charged a late payment fee of $10 with a further $7 fee added seven days later if the payment is still unpaid. If you continue to not pay your bills, you will be removed for the Afterpay app.
- If you cancel your booking with My Auto Shop, your Afterpay account will be refunded, however, a cancellation fee may apply depending on how much notice you provide.
