Is your vehicle new year ready?

...

For many of us, our big annual break comes around at the end of one year, and the beginning of another.  Even if you’re working through the period, you’re no doubt scrambling to get out the door and out to a holiday destination.

Sure enough, the roads are busier, bottlenecks more frequent and we daresay there’s summer’s urge to pick up a few km’s where possible.  All things things often combine for us to find out we’re really putting our vehicles through their paces around the hottest time of year.

If you’re stumped for where to head this summer season, check out the 100% Pure New Zealand Driving Itineraries.  Tonnes of helpful information and food for thought when it comes to being smart out on the roads in high season.

Okay, so we know we’re probably preaching to the converted here — we know your car is always up to date on service, warrants and the like, right?  But just in case!  If you’re thinking you’ll put a service until after your road trip, think twice.  It could be costing you money.

Seriously, you don’t want your car deciding to drag its heels, or worse, to a screeching halt out on a remote country road, or anywhere, for that matter.  So, don’t drag your heels on a service.  With mounting costs around Christmas and New Year, we totally get it, but putting your car under pressure-to-exhaustion under a Kiwi sun could ultimately mean a greater cost in the long run.

If you absolutely cannot make a car service happen before New Year, it’s a good idea to get one sorted within that first month.  You’ll still save money by nipping any issues in the bud.    Hop onto My Auto Shop and book in a service and ensure you’re all kosher on oil, fluids, tyres and general rudiments.  Trust me, you’ll thank yourself!

But, if the cost of a service is looking like a show-stopper, you can always chuck your service on Afterpay with My Auto Shop, which will get you running nice and smooth with minimal impact to your wallet.

Sounds like a win, really.

You won’t have a problem finding a mechanic to service your vehicle with My Auto Shop.  It’s all about making it convenient for you.  You can also think about booking a mobile mechanic and cut down on any time spent travelling back and forth.

Too easy.  New year.  New you.  New car, almost!
