Window is not working assessment for your Kia

If your window is not working My Auto Shop can get it sorted with a General Inspection. Simply leave as many details about the issue as you can and we will contact local MTA approved mechanics that are qualified to fix the underlying issue. We'll email you quotes for an inspection within 2 working days, and where possible provide an indication as to the likely underlying issue(s) and cost to fix. You can book directly on the My Auto Shop platform in minutes.

How a General Inspection works with My Auto Shop:

Our qualified mechanic will look to complete a thorough inspection of your vehicle using the information you have provided via the My Auto Shop platform. To complete this the mechanic will usually start by plugging into your OBDII port and completing a complete diagnostic scan. This will highlight any error or warning codes your vehicle has and will provide the mechanic with information they. need to fix your problem.

Before completing any repairs the mechanic will complete a quote and look for your approval.

When your window is not working its often as a result of a:

  • Worn or broken window motor
  • Bad window regulator
  • Faulty window track guides
  • Blown fuse or bad relay switch
  • Bad wiring or window switch

Popular services linked to a General Inspection:

Wiper Blade Replacement

Windscreen wiper blades are a long frame that is mounted at the bottom of the windscreen. When activated they move along the screen in a wide sweeping motion clearing water and any other debris. The arm that is mounted to the car has a rubber (or different soft plastic) blade that acts as a squeegee whilst also not scratching the windscreen.

Rear Window Replacement

The rear window is the often forgotten, but not dissimilar, cousin to the front windscreen. While not utilized quite as much, it is still crucial to be able to drive safely on our populated roads, as well as serve as a structural support to the car.

While it may not incur as many stone chips as the front windscreen, when damaged, it does need to be replaced. Fortunately, it may have less sensors and display units than the font windscreen, so it is likely to be cheaper.

Brake Light Bulb Replacement

When you see something that requires you to slow down or to stop, it’s always good to let other drivers know you’re stopping.

Wiper Motor Replacement

When it’s raining and you’re driving, you want to be able to clear the windscreen of any water. If your wiper motor is broken or malfunctioning, it can lead to a potentially hazardous situation.
