If your life is anything like mine, the hours spent between 7am-5pm are spent running around like a headless chicken, checking in on whatever needs doing work-wise, errands to keep things going at home, the list is endless!

So you can imagine my dismay when I noticed that my brakes started to show signs of wearing out.  The reality was, I had multiple items on my list of things to get done. 

Ignorance is bliss, right? Wrong! 

If it hadn’t been for My Auto Shop and their brilliant remote tech service, chances are they would’ve worn right down, which could give way to even more issues down the track!

The reality is that we all lead busy lives, and finding time to drop your car off at the garage, organise alternative transportation (if you’re not lucky enough to be assigned a courtesy car), and juggle all of your other daily responsibilities can be really, really difficult.

There are a few reasons why booking a mobile mechanic or remote technician is a smart idea.

The biggest benefit of using a remote technician to repair the brakes was, of course, the convenience factor. Having your vehicle serviced, adjusted, or repaired at a time and place that is convenient for you – even if you’re at the office! – is a modern miracle.

Furthermore, most mobile mechanics have the huge advantage of being experienced all-rounders, and are confident to be out and about, no matter what mechanical challenge comes their way.

Mechanics prefer to specialise in a particular area when they work in a shop, especially if it is a large one.  As it turns out, there were a couple things that my remote technician picked up on that I was more than happy for him to take care of on the spot.  

Mobile mechanics, on the other hand, must be able to work on all makes and models and repair nearly every type of vehicle problem.

And if they can’t fix it, they should at the very least be able to sit down with you and explain why they can’t get your pride and joy back on the road. That’s another bonus – you’re there for them to check with on any particulars, rather than being away from the workshop and slowed down by endless games of phone-tag.  Wins all round!

It can’t be understated, that connection and communication is endlessly beneficial – for both the mechanic and you, since if everything goes well, you’ll have discovered a mechanic you can trust, who you’ll return to, who will get to know your vehicle inside and out, and who will provide a convenient and high-quality service at a reasonable price.  

That is, after all, priceless, not to mention the savings on time spend on the job!
